Brief Overview

Managers who are able to delegate tasks to others in a way that inspires them and motivates them are more likely to be successful in their job. Managers also need to be able to coach and develop their subordinates in order for them to develop the skills they need. A good manager is able to provide constructive feedback as well as encouragement so that employees can continue on the path of growth. An effective leader is able to lead by example, demonstrating what they want from their team by doing it first themselves. Effective leaders also know how and when it is appropriate for leadership styles, depending on which stage of development the team is at.
