Overview

Emotional First Aid is a simple but powerful process that increases a person’s sense of connection with others.
It begins with the person looking inward and feeling their emotions, thoughts, and memories in order to find the source of their negative thoughts or behaviours. Once this has been found, they can work towards building a new perspective that is more positive and supportive.
What makes emotional first aid different from other forms of therapy is that it doesn’t need to be accompanied by a long list of instructions or drawn-out explanations. It’s more about taking action than understanding what happened. This allows people to work through their trauma without too much effort or time wasted.
