No, coaching and therapy are not the same. A coach is focused on connecting deeper with your own resources and enables you to achieve your goals. A therapist helps you to go over your past and helps you heal the past so you can focus on the present and future. Therapy is more of healing of the past, coaching helps you to root in the present and move towards your own desired future.

A session is usually between 45 minutes to an hour. The process is usually very simple – the session is driven by the agenda that the Coachee wants. The Coach helps to refine and narrow down the agenda for the session. Once the agenda is set – the Coach through a series of questioning and deep listening facilitates the Coachee to reflect, come up with insights, actions plans and future actions. The agenda is always Coachee driven – the session is about the Coachee and not the Coach. The Coach enables the Coachee to navigate, reflect, ruminate and helps them to access their own resources and activate the current potential and hidden potential as well.
