Overview
Heightened self-confidence and self-esteem is a result of how well we are able to manage our thoughts. The more mindful we are, the better we are able to control and change our thoughts.
With mindfulness, we can control the way that we think and feel. We can challenge negative thoughts with positive ones. We can also see our world in new ways that allow us to be open to different perspectives and ideas. This helps us learn more about ourselves which in turn leads to higher self-esteem because it enhances self-respect and appreciation for oneself.
Aspects of mindfulness include: concentration, awareness, patience, acceptance and benevolence
