ELECTRICAL SAFETY AWARENESS

Brief Overview

This course provides participants a basic understanding of Electrical Safety to help cope with any electrical hazards you may come across during your day-to-day duties.
Electrical safety is the use of a number of precautionary measures to protect people and property from hazards associated with electricity. The purpose of these measures is to reduce the likelihood that electric current passing through an unintended conductor, or one carrying too much current, will result in death, injury, or damage to property.
The following sections will outline the importance of electrical safety at factories and provide some steps to follow for proper electrical safety.
This is why it is important for companies to take the right precautionary measures. Some of the most common examples of improper electrical safety include:
– Not properly grounding transformers as well as large motors
– Failure to install a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) on outlets in wet areas
– Improperly labeling wiring and equipment
